Kos Artistic Designs was established with the mission of capturing the essence of artistic expression's therapeutic benefits. Founded by Kentucky-based artist Tami Johnson-White, the studio explores the intricacies of color, texture, and light through diverse mediums such as fiber and glass. The term 'Kos' originates from Norwegian culture, signifying warmth, kindness, and togetherness. Pronounced 'koose' similar to 'moose', Kos embodies a philosophy centered around peace, sharing, and disseminating joy globally.

Want to learn to make your own glass?
We offer the ability for you to get together with family and friends to design your own personal glass creations. We bring everything you need to create a perfect gift or memory. Teach you how to cut and assemble glass, and then take it back to the kiln for firing. This makes a perfect event for a group of friends, co-workers, or for a special event.
Fused Glass
Each piece of glass is designed to take advantage of light and color. First a piece is cut and assembled in layers. It then goes into a kiln where it is heated to up to 1500 degrees and will remain there fore 20-35 hours. When it comes out of the kiln, it is cold worked on a lapidary grinder and prepared for a second firing.
